Why You’ll Never Want to Leave Bear Necessities

 ·

·        Expansive views of the Smokies  We custom built Bear Necessities to take in the incredible western horizon of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Nearly every wall affords you a great view.  It doesn’t get any better than this.

·        Your own private paradise At 2,800 feet above sea level, you’ll feel as though you could almost touch the sky.   Bear Necessities is located on a secluded 1.25 acre lot in a private community.

·         Decks designed with you in mind  Big decks with big views, plus sturdy cedar furniture and a 5-person Tiger River hot tub for your outdoor relaxation.

·        Let us entertain you with 2 TVs- a 27-inch Sony TV and 27 inch high Def LCD TV  and VCR, Dish Network Top 120 channels, high def up stairs and local channels, Yamaha home theatre/DVD & Boston Acoustics speakers.

·        Bedrooms that fill the senses  See the stars and mountains at night through the wide windows and skylights.   Feel the comfort of fine linens and quality beds.  Hear the stillness and sounds of nature each night.  Both bedrooms are located on the second floor.  The larger master bedroom with a KING bed has an attached bathroom, while the second bedroom and its full size bed has an adjacent secret hideaway for kids.  Our FlexSteel sleeper sofa located in the living room is top of the line with an inflatable pillow top mattress.

·        Convenient full baths on both floors  The first floor bath has a tub/shower combination, while the upstairs master bath offers a walk-in shower and a jetted tub with romantic window views to relax by.

·        Be the next Food Network star  in the fully-loaded kitchen.  With service for 12 and a stove cooktop that has an amazing view, you’ll find cooking to be almost fun.  For outdoor grilling, wait till you try the Brinkman grill with a side firebox for smoking.  Now there’s some good eating.

·          Pack lighter thanks to the full size washer and dryer.

·        Year-round interior comfort made possible by central heat and air, plus a stacked-stone woodburning fireplace for added charm and warmth in the fall and winter.

From the Guest Book...

Many of our guests have graciously signed our guest book in the home and while we pride ourselves in providing a great vacation home, our guests could not have said it or written it better.  Below are some of their comments.

We absolutely loved “Bear Necessities”. The first time I walked through the front door it felt like my home away from home. The scenery is breath taking and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future! Thank you. Mike & Joni, Vernon, Florida

What a wonderful vacation we had in your cozy cabin. The scenery was outstanding and the hot tub was superb! I also loved the addition of Christmas decs & lights. What a perfect setting for our  8 year anniversary. We will be back soon. Lyle & Jennifer, Baton Rouge, LA

The views on this web site were taken from each home and are the actual views you will experience depending on weather of course. The masthead for Bear Necessities is a composite of a picture of Clingman's Dome taken from the back deck with a a digital camera on zoom - approximately 130mm focal length.
